NOT SURE WHERE TO START?

Start with the reason for your visit.

Your age, symptoms, history and daily routine all help shape the examination. These are some of the common reasons patients contact the practice.

01

Your vision feels different

Blurred distance or near vision, tired eyes, headaches, reading difficulty or changes while driving are all useful reasons to request an eye examination.

02

You are concerned about your child’s vision

We offer comprehensive eye examinations from about age five or six, depending on the child’s understanding and ability to participate. Younger children can be screened and referred when a diagnostic examination is needed.

03

You need practical advice

We can help with contact lenses, new glasses, lens choices, medical-aid benefit checks and other everyday questions about vision and eye comfort.

OUR SERVICES

Eye tests and lens options, clearly explained.

We explain what each assessment is for, what the findings mean and what the available next steps may be. The exact checks and recommendations depend on the individual.

01

Comprehensive eye examinations

A comprehensive eye examination is tailored to your symptoms, history, visual needs and the optometrist’s findings. We explain the findings and discuss whether glasses, contact lenses, monitoring or referral should be considered. Read our comprehensive eye examination guide for a practical explanation of the visit. The time required varies, so allow additional time if you will also be choosing frames or discussing lens options.

02

Children’s eye care

Comprehensive eye examinations are generally possible from about age five or six, depending on the child’s understanding and ability to cooperate. A parent or guardian should attend. Earlier screening can help determine whether referral to an ophthalmologist for a full diagnostic assessment is appropriate.

03

Contact lens consultations

If you wear contact lenses or are considering them, contact the practice to ask which appointment is appropriate. Existing contact-lens wearers should remove their lenses at home and arrive wearing their glasses unless the practice gives different instructions.

04

Spectacles and lens options

We help you consider frames and prescription-lens options for your visual needs, daily routine, comfort and budget. The team explains the available choices and quotation before anything proceeds.

05

Eye comfort, monitoring and referrals

We can assess changes in vision and other visual concerns, explain the findings and recommend the most suitable next step. Neither current optometrist has diagnostic privileges. If care falls outside the practice’s scope or available services, an appropriate referral is arranged.

06

Other practical services

A five-minute driver’s-licence vision screening is available at the practice. This is a brief practical service rather than a full eye examination. Contact the practice if you would like to check what to bring.
